We're not in Kansas anymore!

Hello loved ones! Our dream of moving to Colorado has officially been fulfilled!  Life out here has been even better than we anticipated! I still can't believe that we actually LIVE here!

We really loved getting seeing people before we left Kansas. I even got to go on an extravagant weekend with the family to visit Uncle John and Aunt Cheryl down at the Lake of the Ozarks. We went parasailing, mini golfing, on a helicopter ride, hours and hours of being on the jet skis. It was a much needed vacation to get to spend more time down at the lake with everybody.

We got to go to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential museum in August, best date night ever!

We had a lot of help from our friends and family during this move and we especially appreciate Bill's trip out to Lawrence to pick up a few things from the garage.

So last Friday, we made the 8 hour drive from Lawrence. Jeremy had a chance to showcase his Tetris-like packing skills again,  poor Charley was a good sport during the process.

He was a trooper!

It took Charley a few days to get used to the changes but he is quickly adjusting with our many walks along the trail.

We are really impressed with our landlords. They replaced the first floor carpet for us and are installing a door to the garage as we speak. The neighborhood that we are in is quiet, filled with bunnies, and is next to anything we could ever ask for, including an incredible bike/walking trail. We have direct access to it from our neighborhood, it goes for 40 miles and looks/feels like you are running in a magazine. We have been going on daily walks or bike rides, making us feel like authentic Coloradans.

The week before the move, I was able to set up several Skype interviews. So this week, I snuck away from the unpacking to go to some follow up interviews. The result: I have found employment! I will be working 4 days per week in Highlands Ranch. It is a younger office and I get to work with a lot of really cool people. I plan to get to know the area more and eventually open my own hygiene practice, which is one of the many perks about living here.

Jeremy has been working on call from home this week. He wakes up several times a night to fix alarms and spends all day hanging up my pictures and moving boxes for me. Our townhouse is a little bit smaller than our house in Lawrence. Jeremy has built several shelves for additional storage, which has made a huge difference. He has worked really hard all week to make this into a home. He is a pretty neat guy.

For those of you who were wondering, today we officially sell "The Knoll" house! Things ended up going better than we expected with the sale. Again, shout out to all of the work that Jeremy put in to answering all of the calls from the realtor while I was at work.

As for this weekend, we have a 7th birthday to attend **Happy birthday Jackson!** and hopefully will escape the townhouse and head for the rocky hills to see the trees that everyone is talking about.

So, we are happy, healthy and officially ready for visitors!! (Book your weekend stay now!). We love you and miss you all already!
